Glenbeigh sees the intersection of the Kerry Way walking trail and the popular motorists route of the Ring of Kerry. This means that there are more amenities for this greater influx of passing trade; hotels, restaurants, pubs and several shops. Although the village is not particularly big, when compared to the previous communities of Black Valley and Glencar, it is a lot larger in size.
